The tournament was started to include all aspects of martial arts, a forum where styles are included, not excluded, and welcomes the whole family in a fun and exciting day. Everyone that competed walked away a champion, having come in and tested their training and skills. It was a joy to watch competitors and spectators smile as they enjoyed a day of friendly competition. Trophies, medals and plaques were awarded to the top competitors in each division. There was a lot of handshaking and smiles exchanged by the competitors in the ring after each match. It was reminiscent of the old days, when competition was still friendly and a learning experience. USDA has worked hard to slowly reinstate those values back into the martial arts world by encouraging and rewarding friendly matches.
